The group of five colts purchased for the 2023 PR Colts Fund have all been named and have enjoyed a strong start with their trainers.
VACILLATION (Snitzel x Indecision). In training with the Hayes brothers at Euroa. Had one education run in his first preparation in the Geelong Diamond, a race which carried a Win and You're In to the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes and won by the Group placed Stay Focused. Is well into his second preparation and will return to the track in the Spring.
MOUGENOT (I Am Invincible x Petrelle). In training with Ciaron Maher and soon to hit the track. Like most Vinnie colts is more of a 3yo type and the Maher team have a lot of confidence in this colt.
UNSOLVED (Snitzel x Crack The Code). In training with Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman this big strong colt is starting to really grow into his frame. He always appealed as a Guineas type and continues to build towards a spring campaign.
VASALLA (Snitzel x Dashoff). In training with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and getting nearer to a debut performance. Athletic colt with plenty of upside and a great attitude.
BANCORY BAY (Fastnet Rock x Oohood). Big strong gelding who ran a very promising second on debut at Ballarat recently behind the more experienced Signor Bill. Looks like he will be best suited to 1600m or further and is one to watch out for in Spring 2024.
