Promising 4yo YORKSHIRE (Snitzel x Chantelaine) continued to build on his impressive record with another strong win at the feature Wyong meeting on Saturday 11 January. Sent off favourite at the prohibitive return of $1.60 YORKSHIRE showed that his unlucky first up run behind ACCREDITED was full of promise. Jumping away smartly from an outside barrier under British teen sensation Billy Loughnan YORKSHIRE strode forward and sat outside the leader. Always travelling comfortably once Loughnan gave him a little more rein he accelerated quickly and put the race away in a matter of strides. Extending away from the field Loughnan was able to glance at the big screen and ease him down in the concluding stages and still win by an impressive two lengths.
Loughnan was emphatic in summing it up, simply stating "he is a star". This was his fourth win from six starts and his rating is set to climb further.
There are plenty of options for this bold galloper who has won on tracks rated from a Good 4 to a Heavy 8 as he continues his progress through the grades to Black Type company.
