The common Yorkshire greeting of Ey Up (Hello) was to the fore at Hawkesbury on Thursday when Snitzel 3yo YORKSHIRE made his racecourse debut.
Smartly away from an inside barrier YORKSHIRE took up the running and controlled the race from start to finish to run out a convincing 4 lengths winner with rider Jason Collett gently urging him along. It was a highly promising debut and hinted at better things to come.
Trainer John O'Shea commented after the race that "he still has a lot to learn but we were confident that if he executed his race properly we would see a very strong performance".
Yorkshire was the fifth and final horse from the 2022 PR Thoroughbreds package to make it to the races. All of the colts purchased have won at least once with RUN HARRY RUN successful at Group 3 level.
